 Pedagogy of the TEACHER and the TAUGHT !  The  concept, 'Pedagogy of the OPPRESSED ' ( Freire , 1970) leads to a conclusion that there  is possibility to exist an alternate  Pedagogy of  'the OPPRESSOR' too .  By the same logic, there exists two pedagogies - one,  pedagogy - with, by and of the taught and the other, pedagogy of the teacher for the taught. These two pedagogies are very different in their nature. Which one is effective  is the issue. Pedagogy  How one learns ? What the learning will make one ? Who is that learning ?

Worth buying and reading  and spending so much of time and effort?  Being a professor, are the questions that flashed in my mind !   - Certain factors which goes in favor of reading this book. They are,  the author is from reputed No 1 University  in India - JNU, associated quite long time with JNU, hails from a reputed discipline like sociology.
